Tying things up for Halloween!

You're in for a treat this Halloween, we've got some spooktacular bowties to share with you! Now there's no denying we love accessories, especially when they're something of a novelty. While we usually stick to brooches or jewelry for accessories, there's one lovely duo that gets us to come out of our comfort zone. That's Kelly & Jason from Treeswingvintage, they are slowly but surely expanding our bow tie collection and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. After all who says only boys can wear bow ties? We certainly don't, I mean just look at our previous review featuring their amazing pieces! The thing we love most about these bow ties is that they're all made from vintage fabric, so they all feel like unique pieces that not everyone can have. That's why once they're gone, they're gone for good so don't dilly dally! We knew we simply had to share their amazing bow ties on the blog again and couldn't think of a better occasion than Halloween! There's no sweeter treat than a well coordinated outfit, tied together with a bow tie!

All about the ties
Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year rivaled only by its equally wonderful counterpart Christmas! So we wanted to do something special to celebrate this joyous season, and what better way to do  that then with themed outfits? Correct answer, there is no better way especially when bow ties are included. For this Post we decided to feature FOUR different bow ties that Treeswingvintage has to offer this holiday season.  It was incredibly hard narrowing down our choices as they have such a wonderful selection for all your bow tie needs. Now these aren't the only designs they have, these are just the ones we felt would work best with our wardrobes and our significant others as well.

The black & orange harlequin bow tie

Now I'm not usually one to wear orange, it's actually a color I usually steer clear from. Why is that you ask? Well my dear readers, it's because I don't feel like I own enough that goes with it and quite frankly I'm never sure how to style it. However I'm a sucker for harlequin print anything so this tie immediately caught my eye, I set my orange fears aside and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did, because not only is this tie very fun and vibrant but I know it could work year round!  While I styled it very Halloweeny for this post, I've already got over a dozen ideas of how to wear it next! I'll have plenty of time to slowly but surely add more orange to my collection. After all I think thanks to this fabulous bow tie it's growing on me!

The Purple cat bow (link coming soon)

I love purple, but it's one of those colors I just don't seem to have enough of in my wardrobe. The complete opposite of Paola eh? I decided that this was my chance to change that and add a little more purple to it. It also helped that this tie featured my favorite domestic animal, cats! As soon as I saw the color and print, I knew that this would be the tie for me. Looks like the cats out of the bag, I'm a cat person! (Don't worry I still love dogs, I live with Minnie after all).  Now if you'll look closely you'll see that my bow tie is smaller and thinner than Paola's, this was done to show that they can be worn both ways. Also to show how incredibly thoughtful the folks at Treeswinvintage are offering different sizes for your preference. This thinner tie has affirmed my love of all things purple and cats of course, I can't wait to add more skinny bow ties to my wardrobe its safe to say they're a win in my book!

Now the second set of bow ties we're showcasing are the ties our boyfriends picked. They loved the first set we reviewed so much, they jumped at the occasion to choose two more of their own. While they aren't exactly the Halloween aficionados that we are, there's no denying they love the allure of the creepy/spooky part of halloween. While our picks featured bright colors and cheerful prints, they went with the completely different choices. Dark and spooky imagery with just a touch of halloween that would ensure wear your round. While these were not our first pick, we definitely enjoyed getting to wear them. Showing that a little bit of halloween never hurt anybody and that they too can be styled with bright and fun colors to add a different element to your look.

Something wicked this way comes

They say two heads are better than one, but we think three is the perfect combination. Especially when it includes just a touch of evil to spice things up. After all embracing your bad side, doesn't always have to be a bad thing. While we favor princesses, and heroines to Disney bound we love a good villain inspired look. The villains  may get a nasty rep, but there's no denying that they all have really good fashion sense. If that's not something we can admire and emulate, we don't know what is. We've added a little wickedness to today's Disney bounds in the true spirit of Halloween by bounding as some of our favorite villains. Now they'll never win a prize for doing good, but in our books they're definitely winning in the style department! Keep scrolling to see which fabulously dressed villain inspired who, and what adventures we got up to being a little wicked.

We hope you enjoyed this weeks Disney days post as much as we did. In the spirit of Halloween we wanted to do something a little "spookier" than normal. While these villains don't make amazing role models, their wardrobes are definitely something to admire.Female Disney villains usually fall into one of  three  categories an evil stepmother, a witch, or a very fashionable evil woman! We chose some of our favorites that fall into at least one of these categories if not all three. While these ladies might not be our absolute favorite villains we can't deny their magnetism when it comes to style  and the fact that they are pure evil! Who is your favorite villain? Tell us in the comments!

If you have any comments, questions or even suggestions on who you'd like to see us dress up as next, feel free to comment below and we'll do  our  best to reply in a timely manner.

As always thanks for reading, may your days be filled with pretty dresses, dapper clothes & a lot of happiness.
