Paris is always a good idea

We've been a bit busy with the semester ending and finals to really go out and explore anywhere but we figured since the beloved and highly coveted Paris print jenny skirt is coming back into stock it was a good excuse as any to don our favorite paris prints and take a much needed breather. Now unfortunately we haven't been to Paris or Europe at all for that matter but its definitely on our bucket list. Theres something so incredibly enchanting and exciting about traveling halfway across the world to explore unknown places,so its our "we'll get there someday" trip. For now we'll just have to settle for places around us that have the same cute,rustic charm we'd imagine they have (or as close as we can get,work with what you got yeah?). Now since we're actually in Florida the good ol sunshine state, finding places with good lighting isn't an issue its finding ones that aren't too sunny that is.(We're talking blinding,squinting so hard you can't tell if your eyes are open sunny). However despite the obstacles we faced,the too bright light,that immense florida heat and few shady areas we couldn't wait to show off these gorgeous prints. Anything Paris print is sure to reel us in,we're suckers for it and these are no different. Except for the fact that they're pieces we coveted for ages and couldn't get our hands on them until long after they were discontinued. The constant searching definitely makes them incredibly special pieces in our eyes but its the prints themselves that really made us fall in love.For those of you who are as enamored with Paris as we are we can't recommend them enough, the vibrant colors and print capture the life and sprit of Paris to a T. So if you're thinking of getting the Paris print jenny skirt don't hesitate,theres a reason its so popular its one of a kind!

We hope you enjoyed us sharing our favorite novelty prints Paris style. Theres just something about Paris that speaks to us after all its like the namesake of our blog said "Paris is always a good idea"-Audrey Hepburn (She says this in the movie Sabrina & if you haven't seen it..what are you waiting for?). We're still dreaming of going to Paris, its where are hearts just seem to long to be but since that isn't possible currently we'll settle for wearing prints of it. One day Paris you will be ours,that we can certainly promise. Taking time away for ourselves helped us realize that its definitely something we needed. No matter how crazy or stressful life gets ,don't forget to do the things that make you happy. Paris may be more a mindset for us than anything, our happy place to escape too and thats ok! Princesses just wanna play dress up

 

Now you may have noticed a common trend going on in all our princess adventure related posts and that trend is that we're dressed like princesses. Now we aren't ones for monotony, nor do we enjoy routines so we decided to shake things up a bit this week. We also really wanted to pay homage to some of our favorite animal friends who play significant roles in our lives, other than being utterly adorable they are great companions whom which you can share your secrets with and go on great adventures together. These lovely creatures are often over looked, or forced to live under our rather big regal shadow but today we wanted them to be front and center for a change. We are after all huge animal lovers and what better way to show how much we love them than by dressing up as some of our favorites. This theme also serves as the perfect disguise to go unnoticed among the common folk because even in our fictional princess wear we seem to attract a lot of attention. (blame it on the petticoats & unmistakable princess color scheme). 

Since the weather was absolutely darling this week we opted to take all our adventures out doors and bask in the beautiful Florida sunshine. It's not often that us princesses get to just relax outside altogether without the fear of being spotted, recognized, and followed etc. (woe is us right? its hard being princesses we tell you.). Its not all sunshine and butterflies being royal, we can tell you that but we wouldn't change it for the world because we get to make amazing friendships thanks to it. So we are showing our gratitude by donning outfits some of our dear friends would wear. We may be princesses but we are first and foremost friends and animal lovers just like all of you. (or the majority so we'd hope, there are a few non animal likers out there. How you survive is beyond us but each to their own, right?) We want to show case all sides of the princess life because it is incredibly multifaceted and a lot of fun. We hope that in showing you pieces of our lives you not only get to know us better but also see that we are more than just princesses.

We hope you enjoyed this weeks princesses in disguise adventures. It's always fun to see how we can hide in plain sight and enjoy our time together. Adventures tend to be a lot more enjoyable when we're cloaked in disguise especially if people get a kick out of it. We believe that style is a form of self expression and dressing up in new ways everyday is a way to express ourselves. Even dressed as different people we often get asked if we're in a show or some type of costume, but we never take offense because although others may not understand our style it's ours and thats what matters. Self expression is very important to us since as princesses we tend to live by strict rules of what to do, wear etc. kind of like a uniform for all you common folk. (not that there's anything wrong with uniforms, they just aren't for us). Princesses just wanna shelfie

There's no denying the allure of a good picture , we'll be the first to admit that even royalty isn't immune to its charming ways. In fact we actually quite enjoy taking pictures , it's a way to connect with the masses & show them that despite all the glitz and glamour at the end of the day we're just like ordinary people. (We're really trying to sell this bit to you, do try to pretend you believe us). After all we just want to be part of your world, without feeling like fish out of water. We especially enjoy taking pictures with friends and we have no shame in admitting that. After all we are bright young women, right & willing ready to stand on our own + not be known for the monarchy.(If these references are lost on you, you've got a lot of catching up to do! If not you're always welcome here dear friend). So in this weeks sneak peek into our lives that is unofficially being nicknamed "The Princess Chronicles", we are show casing not only our love of pictures but our love of animals ,the great outdoors & a new member of our group,another princess of course. We're just like you we promise except maybe a little quirkier & royal. I mean we even have a love able pet dog named Minnie & other princess friends.(Doesn't get any more normal than that right ?) Alright enough of us trying to convince you that we're just like you keep scrolling to see what happened in this weeks adventure.

We decided to use this photo shoot to introduce a new friend we made, whom we're sure you've noticed showing her pretty face in our posts as of lately. We met her  thanks to the pinup community & couldn't be happier. Her name is Kaitlyn and like us she lives in sunny Orlando, Florida and is indeed a princess! It is fairly common in our generation that we have friends online, with the access that we have to the internet it be a surprise if we didn't. The fact that we  that we have met a real life friend thanks to it,still blows our mind however. (Our parents can stop holding their breaths, we are being safe and doing our fair share of research before meeting any new internet friends,we promise) We actually met Kaitlyn thanks to a facebook group that is a mecca for PUG enthusiasts (Pin up girl clothing). Kaitlyn is a lot like us, she is a smart,talented,funny,kind,independent princess who happens to love to dress pretty and be fabulous. There's nothing better than meeting someone you just click with from the very get go, from the second we met it's as if we were old souls who were reunited instead of just meeting eachother for the first time. You'll be seeing a lot of her from now on & we hope you enjoy our first photo shoot together as princesses !

We hope you enjoyed this brief glimpse into our lives and got a feel of  just how normal we truly are,I mean you all have photo shoots dressed up as princesses with your friends right? Not fooling anyone are we ? Well at least our adventures (for the most part,I mean quirky is in our blood) will be rather normal,so we've got that part covered. We also hope you'll give Kaitlyn a big ol welcome,since she'll be a regular feature on the blog especially when it comes to our princess adventures. We had a wonderful time once again embodying some of our favorite princesses and knocking down all the negativity  surrounding meeting internet friends.(It isn't as scary as it seems we promise).
