We're all ears!

We talk about the grandeur and splendor of the pinup community a lot, but we never really mention the disney community. While we aren't quite as involved in it as we'd like to be, we have made some incredible connections thanks to it. Including our whole friend group, we all found a common interest and love in disney and it has only strengthened our friendship by ten fold. We couldn't imagine a more lovely group of gals to call friends, and be our Disney gang. Now while the majority of connections we've made thanks to Disney have been local, we've made a few from all over including Jennifer from "bowsandbounds". When we saw that she was coming to visit the parks, we reached out and planned a day to meet. She gave us the wonderful opportunity to model ears for her shop and that's when we knew we had to get a pair of our own to review (stay tuned, it'll be coming real soon!). We can't think of a better way to celebrate the friendship and magic we've experienced thanks to Disney, than with a post including our Disney girl gang dressed to the nines for this momentous occasion.

All about those ears

Bows & bounds was started with one goal – creating accessories for Disneybounding at a reasonable price. As a college student, I felt most accessories, ears, fascinators or skirts sold on etsy or online were out of my price range and I couldn’t afford to spend $40 on one piece of an outfit. As an avid Disneybounder who loves to dress up to go to the parks, I decided to create my own accessories. It all started with a Dumbo Fascinator for Spring Dapper Day 2015. I really enjoyed designing and making it, so I decided to continue making more & eventually, to sell them to others. From there, I’ve made skirts, jewelry, mickey ears, and most recently flower crown ears.

I think the Flower Crown Ears have been my biggest success, and it was all started by my inability to find some Easter Bunny Ears that I was looking for. I wanted bunny ears that also had Mickey ears and flowers. I decided to just make my own and went out and got some headbands, ribbon, wire and extra flowers to put my Easter Ears together. They were adorable and I loved having something totally unique to wear! I made a Lilo and Stitch set when my friend came to visit and have created a ton of designs since! I love doing custom orders and creating new designs.
