Adventure is out there!

What could be more fun than a day at the Disney Parks, you ask? Well, what about an Adventureland themed day filled with scavenger hunts, creative themed outfits, and group photos? This only begins to describe the magical time that we had adventuring through the Magic Kingdom on Adventureland Day! Now while we are certainly bigger fans of WDW, than Disneyland there's one thing Disneyland truly knows how to do and that's themed events. Walt Disney World has slowly but surely been adding more events like it and we couldn't be more thrilled. After all events like Dapper day, are what have helped us make some of our closest friends. These events help us meet fellow vintage aficionados who not only love Disney but also the fashion and history of it. So we were over the moon when we heard that we were getting Adventureland Day over here.

This year was the inaugural year for Adventureland Day meaning we knew we had to go! We had to show our support for this event by showing up in true “thehepburnmovement” fashion aka dressed to the 9s and a tad bit late! We made it with minutes to spare to do the scavenger hunt which we were a little too excited about, but who can blame us when the clue cards were so cute and the prize was amazing!? The scavenger hunt was around Adventureland (with one location being in Frontier land), the locations of each clue were drawn on a map depicting the area and at each location a clue card was given that made a riddle to the final destination. Once we arrived at the final destination we were able to locate the prize which were wooden necklaces (though we will probably make them into brooches) by Miller Made Goods Co, Tiki Tony, and Match accessories.

Taking in the creative ways in which guests captured the spirit of Adventureland through their clothing was one of our favorite parts of the day! Ensembles and Disneybounds ranged from Jungle Cruise Skippers to Indiana Jones to Enchanted Tiki Room birds. Witnessing so much creativity was truly inspiring, and we loved every minute of it!
