Words can not even begin to describe how happy I am to be able to include Miriam as part of our series. When I first started getting into pinup/vintage styles, I never saw any other women like me. All of them were a lot taller, full of curves, legs for miles, and predominantly white. I stumbled upon Miriam's account by chance a few years ago and seeing her completely inspired me. She is not only a proud latina like me but she is also incredibly petite at 4'11, she doesn't let that get in her way and now neither will I. She is so incredibly, kind,hard working, inspiring and incredible, it is an honor to share her story with all of you today. She is a true testament to believing in your dreams, working hard to achieve them and never letting anything get in the way of them. That regardless of where you come from, your height, your age,ethnicity etc. as long as you believe and fight for your dreams,theres nothing you can't achieve. I hope you'll be as inspired by her story as I am!
When did you get into the pinup/vintage life style?
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my grandmother and mom, because thanks to them I learned how to make my own clothes and to get into this beautiful lifestyle.
How does it feel to be a WOC in the pinup/vintage community?
It feels great to be a WOC in this pinup vintage community because I feel comfortable within my own skin. Not only that but this just goes to show that anyone can be part of this beautiful lifestyle.
