As self proclaimed PINUPS on a budget there is one  time of year that we yearn for more than anything, other than Christmas of course. That time

Of year is Black Friday weekend, it's how we have been able to grow our wardrobes without going over our budget. it's the most highly anticipated sale weekend of the year and we've got all the best deals to share with you! Black Friday gets a bad rep for being the craziest sale day of the year, but thankfully for us and you our wonderful readers our shopping can be done from the comfort of our own homes. Now we don't avoid the craziness all together, but we've got you covered enough to make sure you are fully prepared for it! Small business Sunday: add a little Audrey

We recently had the pleasure of working with Reverefolie, a small business out of Australia, to make some Audrey Hepburn inspired earrings.  As with fashion and basically everything in life Audrey is our biggest inspiration and we knew that no other pair of acessories would do! (She's our blogs name sake afterall). As two gals with incredibly sensitive and tiny ears, we are very picky about what we wear. We prefer studs to anything else and took the chance to design together the studs of our dreams. We were brainstorming earring ideas, and remembered the adorable studs Audrey wears in the movie "Sabrina"!  

Angie aka reverefolie has turned her life around against all odds, last year she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and now that she's in remission she decided to open up her own little business. She has been having the best time thanks to her daughters Deerarrow's help, who also own a wonderful retro brooch company. They taught her how to use the design programs, the laser cutter and thus Reverefolie was born. She is a huge fan of collaborations and says the Audrey earrings we designed together is one of her favorites to date. We of course had to pay an homage to our favorite lady with them and we can't wait to show you the design that we  all came up with.

REVIEW


Reverefolie's earrings are incredibly light weight, so much in fact that we can't even tell when we are wearing them. They are made of wonderfully sturdy and long lasting material and are 100% hypoallergenic. She has a variety of shapes, sizes and designs so you can pick and choose whatever your heart desires. If you don't see something that tickles your fancy, she will work to create it with you. As recipients of our very own design, we cannot sing her praises enough.

She went above and beyond to make our earring dreams come true with the "Audrey earrings" and even took the idea and added more color ways and options for other audrey fans out there.(Thats right everybody you can get your own pair too!). She captured the glitz, glamour, sparkle and elegance of the original earrings without the heavy price tag. Yes you read that right, not only are every pair of earrings incredibly adorable but also incredibly affordable. Gone are the days of over priced accessories, thanks to reverefolie you can look like you've stepped out of an old hollywood movie without robbing yourself dry.

She was sweet enough to sent us four different pairs, two in the original color ways we chose and then two more in entirely new ones. We kept the two originals as a matching set and gifted the other two to our closest friends. Have no fear, we will most certainly be adding more colors and earrings in general to our collection in the future. She has outdone herself with her remarkable products and has won over our hearts and our wallets. For price, quality, uniqueness, all around incredible customer service and a wonderfully kind owner we give Reverefolie a 10/10!

Fantastic dresses and where to find them

Don't tell the nomaj but we are wizards! We are able to make fabulous outfits appear out of nowhere! (This is a power we dream of having, truly if anyone knows that spell we are all ears). Recently the newest movie from the wizarding world was released, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them! Being the avid Harry Potter fans we are as is seen here, there and everywhere. We went  all out to watch this movie, much like we have done for other Harry Potter movies! The thing that made this movie stand out to us was not only  that it took place in the United States of America, but also that it took place in a fashion era that is one of our personal favorites! For this blog post we went into Kirsten's closet, because she is the one who holds the 20s as the style nearest and dearest to her heart! (She'd dress this way everyday if she could afford it).  Some of the stores that carry 1920's and 1930's styles are Modcloth and Unique Vintage. Now they aren't the only ones but they are the most well known because of the wide array of options they offer, in the repro community that is. As true vintage from these eras can not only be incredibly hard to find but also pricey, especially where we live we want to show some more easily accessible options. Unique vintage has its own line of flapper inspired dressed that  we are saving to buy! Unfortunately they are at the higher end of the price range  for the most part and thus we have yet to own any, but we felt it necessary to include them because of how incredible they are and to show all the options ready at your disposal. (Also so you can drool and pine along with use,you're welcome!) Modcloth has a more modern approach to the style, which is  shown in the outfits we are wearing. Each outfit happens to include atleast one Modcloth item because they know how to fit the look without breaking the bank.(unless that's what you're going for because they have that too)

We hope you enjoyed our take on 20's inspired looks brought on by our Harry Potter loving ways.  There's no better inspiration than love, right?
