Our love of Disney & retro/ vintage styling transcends ALL things, if you haven't witnessed that enough on our blog well then you obviously haven't been paying much attention. It's not often that we get to put the two together, besides our blog posts over the last few weeks of 50's inspired disney characters (we obviously need a million more reasons and occasions to express our undying love for it all). That why "Dapper Day", is such a huge spectacular extravaganza to us it's as if someone heard us wishing at that wishing well and decided to make our dreams come true. (well most of them anyways, we still haven't become disney princesses yet but we AREN'T giving up hope, we'll settle for just plain ol royal for now). Ever since we were little we've been enamored with all things Disney /retro/vintage and it only seemed fitting that we attend an event that allows us to show case it, in all it's splendor and glory with others who feel exactly the same way. Now this outing couldn't have been complete without our darling group of princess friends as well as our handsome prince's and it was definitely a day to remember. This was our first time attending as a large group but certainly not our last and we can't wait to show you the outcome.
A little bit of information on this event for those curious, every year on two different predetermined dates the most magical thing happens. Fellow Disney /Vintage/retro lovers come together donned to the nines in their Sunday best to enjoy a day at the park looking as if we stepped out of a time machine. We are delighted to say that this day isn't a one time event in fact it happens in both Spring and Fall, so if you couldn't make this one don't be alarmed theres always the next one! You can chose from any era your little heart desires but since the 50's pulls on our heart strings the most that's where we drew our inspiration from. Now just because a specific park is picked doesn't mean you have to stay all day there or even attend it. (That's right we're rebels without a cause and went somewhere else). The spring dapper day this year was held at Magic Kingdom but we've grown quite tired of castles and wanted a change of scenery. (you know spending most of our time already in them, because we're princesses and all). So we decided that dapper day would be more enjoyable for us, if it was spent at EPCOT and we weren't the only ones. We saw quite a few other smartly dressed individuals there too and it made the decision for us seem right. So although our picture spots may be different from others who attended we all carried the same fashion sense whatever park we were in and we hope you enjoy our dapper day outing.

We hope you enjoyed our dapper day adventures, we may be a bit biased in saying this but it's definitely our favorite day of the year or days if we want to get technical since there are two. (Besides our birthdays, because obviously nothing's better than the days in which we came into the world yeah?). We had a great time catching up with old friends, in our Disney inspired dapper attire and even making some new ones along the way. For those of you who've never been we can't sing its praises enough, it's definitely a day to remember filled with unforgettable memories and nonstop stares/compliments. Please note that you do NOT have to Disney bound to attend in fact just dressing dapper is all you really need for the occasion and even that's optional, you can just go and be spectator. We hope you gained some inspiration for the next dapper day coming up and you got the final push you needed to attend. You won't regret it, we swear! Cross our hearts and hope to die, yes it's that serious! Just go, bask in the beauty of the fashion from the past and make new friends and of course have new adventures along the way.
