There's no denying the allure, the grandeur, and the appeal of the Star wars series. It's one that has spanned decades, generations, and seems to transcend time the way it does space. The first set of movies were released to our parents, the second to us, and the third to our younger cousins. We have to admit while we have see all of the movies we weren't the biggest fans (that award goes to our little brothers), but with this last installment of movies we have became fans! Why? We love the stories, the characters (Rey, Finn, Poe, and BB8!), and the PORGS!!!!! So when Insomniac creations reached out to us with her new Star wars inspired pieces, we knew we simply had to do a blog post on them.

We have to thank Insomniac Creations for the amazing items we have gotten the chance to review! Vanessa, the owner of Insomniac Creations is an absolute sweetheart to work with, she's reliable, great communicator,amazing seller and an even better friend. While this is our first official review of her products, we can say with the upmost confidence we love everything she makes. We've been long time fans for a while now and are so excited to finally review her products for all of you!
Her items are all handmade with love and care! Many of the items can be customized beyond the clasping mechanism, such as the Porg earrings which can be customized to be numerous different colors. She's got so much variety and something for everyone. From Star Wars, to princesses, and even something for your significant other. She's been branching out to lapel pins and even cufflinks are in the works. Each of the items we received were remarkably well made, not only were they made with love and care they came packaged with as much attention to detail. You can tell she puts her heart and soul into everything she makes.
REVIEW
Collar clips / Earrings
It's no secret that we love collar clips, especially living in Florida. While we adore the look of cardigans with an outfit nine times out of ten, it's far to hot to wear one here. Cardigan clips solve that problem and add a fun element to any outfit, Vanessa's are no exception. In fact hers are what brought our outfits together and really helped the Star Wars aspect shine through, along with the amazing earrings of course. Porg earrings, right? We know we love them too.
These collar clips are set on the usual clasp pin back and connected with a chain to stay together. While the porg collar clips are molded and shaped from clay, and are HUGE and adorable in every way. The Leia and Han solo ones, are made of a heavy duty plastic that is super long lasting, durable, and pigmented.
The earrings add a fun pop of color to our outfits and otherwise understated jewelry look. They are made of resin, iridescent, and a fairly large size. This makes them amazing to photograph and impossible to miss. We get compliments on them every time we wear them!
These were definitely our favorites from the new series, we loved the design, quality and creativity/love that went into them. They are incredibly well made statement pieces that need no introduction. We will definitely be getting ALL our collar clips and porg accessories from insomniac creations from now on!

Rebel alliance pieces:
The first thing we noticed about these pieces was the shine and the bold colors. We love how they're an ode to Star Wars and Disney's partnership, while still holding true to the Star Wars aspect. These pieces are a rather large size and have a good weight to them. They're definitely not for the faint of heart and we were a bit apprehensive at first to try them.
However looks are definitely deceiving and these were not only comfortable to wear but they didn't pull down on our ears or clothes at all, which was our biggest concern. The colors were incredibly vibrant and everyone knew exactly what they were from. The Mickey shaped brooch was a favorite among others and ourselves as well, especially since they glow in the dark!
Overall we truly cannot recommend insomniac creations enough, seriously if you're looking for any kind of accessory Vanessa is the person to see. She is a kind seller, great communicator, has fast shipping, fair prices and every piece is incredibly well made with lots of love. Insomniac creations checks off every box on our list and certainly without a doubt gets "thehepburnmovement" seal of approval!
