Listen up folks, it's the moment you've all been waiting for, the story of how thehepburnmovement came to be and our friendship. Gather round, this is one story you definitely won't want to miss. After all it'll help you understand us more and what our blog is all about! In honor of our birthday we wanted you to get to know us a bit better! We wanted to tell you about our friendship! We met due to our boyfriends (they are twins), but that wasn’t what made us friends. One of the main things we bonded over was our fondness of Audrey Hepburn, Disney and Harry Potter! How did we find out we had so much in common? TUMBLR. That’s right we found out that we liked so many of the same things, because of the posts we put up on our tumblrs. Tumblr is actually what brought us together, we spent more time messaging each other on there than anything else. We quickly became fast friends and now we're such good best friends we practically text each other more than we do our boyfriends (don't tell them,but we definitely do).

How did we meet?
We shared a little about this story here, but we ultimately met thanks to fate, destiny, call it what you will (A horse!, see what we did there?). We had both gone to visit our boyfriends at their parents house, we were a bit apprehensive at first since we weren't sure what to expect but as soon as we saw what the other was wearing, we knew we'd get along just fine. We complimented each other and began talking, practically ignoring our boyfriends. They were finally able to pry us apart, but not before we exchanged tumblr handles and that's where our friendship truly blossomed. We clicked right away and have been inseparable ever since. Despite being long distance best friends for a good chunk of our friendship, we remained close and talked constantly. Last year we tied the knot so to speak, by moving in together. It has been the most adventure filled year as best friends yet, after all its what gave us the incentive we needed to get this blog going!
How did "thehepburnmovement" come to be?
This is actually an idea that sort of snow balled to where it is now. From the moment we became friends, we knew greater things were coming. While we loved all things vintage and vintage inspired, we were taken aback by the prices of everything. Also that there weren't any bloggers highlighting the ability to dress pinup or vintage inspired while being college students. Pinching pennies and still looking fabulous is our speciality, so we wanted to share that with the world. We believed that anyone could be a pinup if they wanted to, even broke college students like us. Our blog was born out of a need to fill that niche, but also to share our love of clothes and by gone eras with the world. It has grown so much in the past year, we have experienced so much love, kindness, friendship, heartache, sorrow and most importantly strength thanks to it. It has been such an incredibly journey, we have seen our friendship improve and our lives because of it.
We hope you enjoyed this little insight into how thehepburnmovement came along! We might be different in some ways, but those differences just make our friendship that much stronger! We are looking forward to more years of friendship and celebrating birthdays, because while we might be born 3 days apart (and almost a year shhh) we will always be best friends at heart!
