Be the heroine of your own story

These gals aren't waiting around for a knight in shining armor or prince charming to rescue them. We are no damsels in distress, we believe in being the heroes of our own stories, the heroines if you will. We demand to be the protagonists of our stories and thats why we chose these lovely ladies to bound as, for this weeks Disney days post. They are every bit as badass and inspirational as we aim to be, plus they've got raging intellect, wit, sass and killer outfits to boot! People love to criticize the female disney characters especially the princesses, but we are here to challenge those antiquated ideals and notions that females are helpless and need someone to save them. We are here to rescue ourselves and show that we are just as awesome, if not more awesome than our male counter parts. Celebrate girl power with us, because femininity doesn't mean we can't be tough as nails. These leading ladies are a perfect example of that!

Who run the world? GIRLS!

We hope you enjoyed this weeks "Disney days" post as much as we did. There's nothing more unifying than celebrating our favorite disney role models together. After all these leading ladies taught us to be brave, independent, strong, fearless and to smile in the face of adversity and danger. They taught us to never give up and keep fighting for our dreams no matter how outlandish they may seem. They taught us that bringing honor to your family doesn't mean you can't be true to yourself, or that wanting to see whats beyond the river band is not only normal it should be encouraged. We hope you feel a bit inspired by this post to be true to your heart, listen to it no matter what the rest of the world says and share that love with the world.
