Inspired by the kingdom!

Disney is an incredibly magical place, full of inspiration everywhere you turn. We've bounded characters before, good ones, bad ones, even somewhat more obscure ones. This time our inspiration came from the parks themselves, one park in particular Magic kingdom! Magic kingdom is probably the most well known and our most visited park because of all the wonderful experiences it has to offer. We can't get enough of that gorgeous castle and have met so many wonderful friends there, it felt fitting we pay homage to the park that brought us altogether.  We chose to bound as some of our favorite rides for this joyous occasion to match with our dear friend Jenny Claire (penny snark) who was bounding as the haunted mansion. We had such a wonderful time bounding as rides, we are already planning our next bounds inspired by the parks! Which park will we tackle next? Keep an eye on our blog, you'll see soon enough where we get our next inspiration from!

Now Disney has a sure fire way of bringing people together, it's thanks to Disney that our friend group is constantly growing and evolving. Every time we visit we have a magical time and meet wonderful people along the way! This visit was no exception, I dare say it was one of our best meet ups yet. Jenny was an absolute sweetheart who not only indulged our bounding ideas, but also our picture taking ways. She was a dream to spend the day with and we are glad to call her part of the Disney squad. She is welcome among us any time and we can't wait to see her again soon! Alright enough of the mush, onto the real reason why you're still reading, our ride inspired bounds! (We know what you are after, dear readers). Keep scrolling to see who chose what ride, why and a little background on them, and as always adorable pictures!

What a wild ride

Paola chose to create an outfit based off of Space Mountain, the one and only roller coaster in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrow land. Space Mountain is a in the dark thrill ride that launches you into outer space on a rocket ship! This ride is fast, fun, and always has a wait so we fast pass it! While the ride itself is in pitch black besides the light of the stars, the wait and walkway there is adorned with galaxies, planets and futuristic eye candy to make any space lover happy.

I ( Paola) chose Space Mountain because I am a HUGE space nerd, I love everything about it. This is my favorite ride in Magic kingdom, so it seemed fitting that I bound it.  Fun little tid-bit of information, Space Mountain was opened in 1975 and is the oldest operating roller coaster in Florida!

Kirsten Disneybounded as Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, which is an animatronic show in Magic Kingdom's Adventureland. The ride features singing birds from many countries. One of our favorite things about this attraction is that it instills nostalgia everytime you visit.   You feel transported into a tropical oasis once you step inside and hear the birds crooning, and the A/C is a huge plus! (we're just being honest, any chance to escape the florida heat we take).

I (Kirsten) chose Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki room because of the music and immersive experience, its a good getaway spot to relax and enjoy the experience with friends.
Did you know? The enchanted Tiki room, didn't actually start off the way it is now. In fact it was at first a replica of the Disneyland ride  it was named Tropical Serande and opened in 1971. Due to a small fire that happened a few years later the ride had to be shut down and changed, it then reopened in 2011 and is now "Walt Disney's enchanted Tiki room"

Rachel's outfit was inspired by Peter Pan's Flight! This ride is based on the movie Peter Pan in which you fly around in a ship and see scenes from the movie!  It captures the likeness of the movie to a T and there's something to see everywhere you turn, you really feel  like you're flying over Neverland the whole ride. Now if we could just have a little Pixie dust to fly everywhere, that would be great! For now we'll just settle for this magical ride to transport us ,even if briefly to another world. After all nothing beats a land where you NEVER have to grow up! (That's right we're all Peter at heart).

Rachel chose Peter Pan's flight because it is her favorite ride in the kingdom. Peter pan leaves her yearning for her childhood and wishing she too could fly away to Neverland. Its such a beautifully decorated ride, you can't help but enjoy it every time you ride it. Fun fact;Peter Pan's flight was opened in 1971, but it wasn't always this interactive. Until recently the queue was quite a different experience, now its  new features  added in 2015 show case attention to detail that truly makes you feel like you're headed to Never land.

Jenny and Trisha both bounded with inspiration taken from the one and only haunted mansion! Too bad there is only room for one more happy haunt! This ride not only has A/C but some of the catchiest songs, and we know our California friends will say theirs is better but we have never been so this haunted house is #1 to us!  This ride is beautifully done with something to experience and marvel at every section of the ride even the wait. They captured the spooky, gloomy yet comedic and interactive aspects of the movie perfectly. It truly takes you on a trip inside The Haunted Mansion, you're left with a catchy tune in your head and if you're lucky a hitch hiking ghost to remember the trip by!

Both Jenny and Trisha chose The Haunted mansion as their outfit inspiration because it is their favorite ride in the Kingdom. It demonstrates their love for all things that go bump in the night, while still bringing that wonderful Disney magic. The Haunted Mansion was so popular in California we had to bring it here, it was actually an Opening day attraction in the Magic Kingdom. It's also longer and more elaborate than its California counter part. (We told you ours was better!)

We hope you enjoyed  this weeks "Disney Days" post, while we constantly have character inspired posts this was a new and refreshing challenge for us. It really pushed us to think outside the box and made us even morse cited when people recognized what we were going for. We are firm believers in the saying "Inspiration is all around you, all you have to do is look", and this blog post definitely shows it. The next time we're  in an outfit rut, we'll definitely turn to our surroundings to add some extra pizzaz to our outfits. Do you ever feel inspired by your surroundings? If so we'd love to see how!

If you have any comments, questions or even suggestions on what you'd like to see us do outfits inspired by next, feel free to comment below and we'll do  our  best to reply in a timely manner.

As always thanks for reading, may your days be filled with pretty dresses, dapper clothes & a lot of happiness.
