It's a tie!

If you have been following along for awhile then you know that we are dating twin brothers. We have mentioned them a few times before in our  Dapper day posts, Valentine's day post and brooch reviews just to name a few, playing supporting roles but todays post is all about them! Our fellas love bow ties and ties, together they've got quite the envy inducing collection. So when Kelly from Treeswingvintage reached out to us,offering us a chance to show off some of her fabulous bow ties we couldn't refuse. The boys were over the moon with joy and found the amazing variety of options both a blessing and a curse. After much thought and peering into their closest, as well as ours to see what would match more they finally decided on two. Now while our handsome fellas are the focal point of this post,we couldn't resist playing dress up and donning these fabulous bow ties too. After all who says girls can't wear bow ties? Certainly not us! So keep scrolling to see how we styled them and our thoughts on these fabulous bow ties!

About Tree Swing Vintage

Treeswingvintage was inspired both by Jason's love of bow ties and Kelly's fabulous wardrobe. About four years ago Jason decided that he wanted to forego the traditional bow tie for the more fun and laid back bow tie. It gave him the dapper look without having to be all dressed up in a three piece suit all the time. In their hunt to find bow ties to match every one of Kelly's outfit, they found that the modern world just fell short. So Kelly took matters into her own hands and began making some of her own. This journey wasn't with a few trial and errors, and took a few tries to get it just right. Kelly bought her own fabric but would also use pieces of fabric from her own clothes for the perfect match. Her wonderful creation soon garnered admirers from everywhere both men and women alike, who encouraged her to open up her own store. As they say the rest is history, because here they are today with over a dozen options to make everyone happy!

Review

For this review we wanted to show the bow ties styled by both our dapper men and us,to show how versatile they are and how ANYONE can wear them! While the fellas donned more dressed up looks in their full suits, we went for more laid back androgynous vibes.  We loved seeing the different ways we each styled it and can't wait to wear them again in the future. After all there's no better piece of clothing in your significant others closet, than one you can both equally enjoy.Which look is your favorite?

Martin Chose the Autumn Floral Navy bow tie

He chose this bow tie because the colors go well with things in his wardrobe. While he is a fan of wearing color,he much prefers the more muted and toned down versions of them and this bow tie brings all that and more. The majority of the suits he owns are navy or have navy in them so he knows he'll be getting a lot of wear out of this one. He also took into consideration Paola's closet, since they love to match and knew the yellow accents would go perfect with her wardrobe. Yellow is Paola's favorite color after all, so it seems fitting he finally get a tie to match all her yellow outfits. He loved how easy this was to tie, after watching a few youtube tutorials of course. (We're all still learning here!). Also the vintage style that this tie gives off makes him stand apart from the rest and he got non stop compliments while wearing it, it truly feels like a one of a kind bow tie from by gone eras.

Ricardo chose the Dove Gray Burgundy Floral Bow tie

Much like Martin he chose this bow tie because he felt like it would go along with a lot of items in his wardrobe as well as Kirsten's. After all Kirsten is the pink queen, she owns more pink items than we can count. Grey happens to be his favorite color to wear and he loves how this one gives off almost a blue vibe, making it a unique contrast against the rest of his tie collection. With a little help from Kirsten his bow tie was set and ready for pictures, it was fairly simple to tie and he anticipates many more wears in the future. The floral paisley pattern is one his favorites and reminds him of vintage wall paper, he likes how it stands out from the rest.
