Pastel summer

 Now we know all the fashion rules, the dos and don'ts we just choose not to follow them. We like to march to the beat of our own drums, especially since Florida doesn't have seasons. Our year round weather is tropical and hot hot hot!! So when everyday inevitably feels like summer, we like to go outside of the fashion rule box to keep our wardrobes fresh. Our array of summer dresses is endless, so we have plenty of choices to choose from but for this post we decided to grab pieces usually reserved for the spring. Our springiest florals and pastels to show that when it comes to your style,the only rules you should follow are your own. Who's ready for a pastel summer?! We're kicking off the renamed and better than ever  usual sunday post, with Essence photos as our first Spotlight Sunday post! We decided we needed the slight change to let both our favorite small businesses and photographers be in the much deserved light and have their chance to shine.

For this post we went full vintage to show  the perfect summer pastel vibe, just like the old ads. There's nothing quite like vintage to capture the elegance and fun of spring. As the summer months progress, the heat gets more intense in florida. That means we're on the hunt for more breathable and light summer dresses. These are some of our favorites to wear because of their versatility and fabric content. We love ourselves a good ol cotton dress, they're the perfect mixture of cute and comfy. Plus they keep us from melting in the florida sun.
