Here at the thehepburnmovement, I strive to show the diversity of pinup/vintage culture every chance I get, to show that ANYONE and everyone can be a pinup/vintage lover regardless of your age, sexual orientation, or race. That despite the lack of representation in the media, we exist and are here to inspire others to step out into the spotlight. People from all kinds of nationalities and identities make up this community and I aim to show that with every post. I want to highlight the wide variety of pinup/vintage loving people because they come from all walks of life, and deserve to be seen. This week's vintage lover is...

The best part about Dapper day? It's a weekend long event which means double the fashion and Disney. Day two this spring took place at Epcot my favorite park and I may be biased but it was definitely the best of the days. This weekend was extra special because I got to spend it with with my dear friends Maggie and Cailey. They are my co-hosts on our podcast Mainstreetstylepodcast , our combined love of Disney and all things dapper made this weekend simply unforgettable. We even had a meetup to celebrate being all together for the weekend, and it was magical! Meeting so many of you lovely folks on Dapper day is always my favorite part of the weekend. Nothing beats meeting like minded individuals who share a love of fashion and all things Disney. Keep scrolling to see our day two adventures and the lovely folks we met along the way.

Tale as old as time
Friday, May 17, 2019
It's the best time of the year! Dapper day season has come again and I couldn't be more excited to share this year's adventures with you. For those of you who don't know, or are a little lost wondering what dapper day is, let me explain. Dapper day is an event that takes place in Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris twice a year. Once in the spring and then again in the fall every year. While not an official Disney event it has grown so much in popularity and size over the years, even the cast members know when it's coming.

Surviving Dapper day!
Tuesday, April 23, 2019
Step right up folks! The long-awaited Dapper day tips blog post is finally here! I talk about Dapper day on the blog every year as it's my favorite event, I've been going since I first found out about it in 2014. I never miss it as it's such a special weekend to me, both the fall and spring event brings different and amazing experiences. I usually do a recap blog post but at the request of many of you lovely folks, I have decided to do tips and tricks blog post this time around as well. Whether you are looking to get last minute outfit inspiration, or just learn from someone who's been going for years you've come to the right place. I asked for your input as well to see what kind of tips you would like. So I've got a mixture of my own personal tips and answers to your questions. I am by no means a dapper day expert as if there were such a thing, just spreading the knowledge I've gained from going for years. While most of my information will be due to my experience here at Walt Disney World, I think it can be used anywhere. Keep reading to get my tips to having a fun and unforgettable Dapper day weekend!

Sunday, March 17, 2019
Kungaloosh Adventurers! It's that time of year again! What time might you ask? Well it's Adventureland day ofcourse! For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, have no fear Paola is here to explain everything. Now Adventureland day is a fan hosted event that takes place in both Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World here in Florida. It was created last year by none other than Tiki Tony himself. It brings together all lovers of Adventureland and anything Adventure related. Everything from Tarzan to Indiana Jones himself, quite the all encompassing event isn't it? Last year I stumbled upon it by chance and had such a wonderful time I knew I had to attend agin this year. I couldn't have been more happy that i did not only was the turn out amazing, but it was even more fun than the last one and i can't until next year's. Keep scrolling to read more about the activities that took place, the adventurers I met and of course what I wore to Adventureland day!

Who's the leader of the club?
Sunday, January 20, 2019
It's Mickey mouse ofcourse. This year Mickey is celebrating 90 years of magic, can you believe it? Feels like just yesterday I discovered Mickey mouse and my love for Disney. Mickey mouse is an icon in every way shape and form. He revolutionized the animation world and opened the door to a whole new world of wonder and possibilities. It'll come as no surprise to you that Mickey mouse has endless merchandise made in his likeness, from hats to books,to shows even food. Mickey is a symbol of universal magic and hope all around the world. The celebrations for his 90th have been spectacular but none quite as exciting as Besame Cosmetics release of a Mickey Mouse inspired set. As most of you know, I'm a tried and true Besame girl they're my favorite make up brand hands down. When I saw they were releasing another Disney inspired collection blending my love of makeup with Mickey himself, I was beside myself with excitement. I am so thankful to Besame for sending me the set to review. Ready to celebrate Mickey with me? Keep Scrolling to read my thoughts on the set & to see how I styled it!

Onto the next adventure!

Photographer: bturrellphotography
This next year will be very different from the past years of thehepburnmovement because I (Kyra) have decided to pursue other dreams. While working full time, working on a second degree, and doing the blog I haven’t been able to find the time to pursue other outlets. I want to spread my creative wings and try something new. I have had so much fun doing the blog and love all of the friends I have made thanks to it! This being said I am planning on starting a YouTube channel in the new year! This channel will be filled with vintage inspired fashion tips, lazy girl guides to, mental health topics (like coping mechanism, depression, and others), as well as anything else I think will be fun! This channel will be for me to express myself and to work on projects that interest me! I hope you will follow me on this journey and also follow Paola on hers as she turns this blog into her dream!
Follow Kyra on instagram for more updates!
If you have any comments, questions or even suggestions on what you'd like to see us do next, feel free to comment below and we'll do our best to reply in a timely manner.
As always thanks for reading, may your days be filled with pretty dresses, dapper clothes & a lot of happiness.
Paola & Kyra xx
